Bug Description

I have the bug with ubuntu 7.04

The bug happened a the first reboot after the unbuntu 7.04 installation. My keyboard didn't function and the solution I found was to unplug and plug the bluetooth dongle.

I found a command line on a forum but I don't know if it works :

sudo apt-get remove bluez-cups bluez-pcmcia-support bluez-pin bluez-utils --purge

Can you tell me what you think about that?

In the former version 6.10 ubuntu I never had this problem and this bug was confirmed on many forums

Thanks

This bug with the bluetooth MX 5000 keyboard & mouse is now over one year old & became a problem from 6.10. It has been reported three (3) times that I know of:

Bug number: 67321 dated 2006-10-21,
Bug number: 32415 dated 2006-02-22 &
Bub number 79262 dated 2007-01-14.

The only walk arounds so far are unpluging/repluging the dongle or uninstalling the bluez packages.

Removing the bluez packages removes bluetooth connectivity!

For a number of end uses (including myself) the unpluging/repluging the dongle is not so obvious & took me some time to work out!

From reading the bug reports this bug is still not resolved in 7.10 (RC)!
