Bug Description

$ system-image-cli -i
current build number: 23
device name: mako
channel: ubuntu-touch/stable/ubuntu
last update: 2015-09-17 10:27:47
version version: 23
version ubuntu: 20150825.1
version device: 20150819
version custom: 20150825.1

I am able to create a Hotspot which is shown to other devices. But when the other device wants to connect, it always fails with a message, that the password is incorrect. Tried with Windows 8, Windows Phone, Android and Ubuntu Phone to connect, but none worked. The image is newly installed today.

Tried the Hotspot-function on a BQ 5 device with the same SSID and Password and it worked.

After disabling the Hotspot, the Wifi is not working anymore. It shows no available networks. It is only fixable by a reboot.

Thank you for the report, Hannes. We're aware of this, and for the next OTA will disable the entry to hotspots altogether. Hopefully we'll fix the underlying issue soon; for information on that progress, subscribe to the bug which this is duplicating.
