Bug Description
I could not find a way to recover my telegram account, which I am still logged in to on my ubuntu touch device. The SIM card I activated the account with, has been deactivated in the meantime.
On https:/
"If you decide to switch to a new phone number, don't forget to go to Settings, tap on your phone number and change your Telegram number to the new one."
But I can not tap my phone number in the ubuntu touch telegram app.

Hi Marco,
I replied in the list, but let me provide some details here.
"When you decide to switch to a new phone number" - this instruction is related to the official Android Telegram app. But, most importantly, it only works *before* you deactivate your old phone number. As they say, unless you have your SIM card re-issued, they (nor I) can't really help you).
FWIW, you might be able to log in to another client, while you have your Ubuntu phone signed in. If that's of any help.
If you're still logged in, go to web.telegram.org, make sure your Ubuntu phone is unlocked and Telegram app is running, then provide your phone number to sign in to web.telegram.org. You should then receive a one time code to your Ubuntu phone, which you can use to sign in to web.telegram.org. Still, you won't be able to transfer the phone without an active SIM card.
