Bug Description

Selecting "Show Dropbox folder" from the indicator menu reliably crashes nautilus. To be exact, it opens up the correct window, but at the same time all desktop icons disappear. I.e., nautilus stops managing the desktop.

This is still happening on ubuntu 16.04 (gtk 3.20)

The nautilus isn't crashing but hiding icons.
Probably nautilus is being executed with: "nautilus --no-desktop"
