"Can't list" error message during mayavi install

Bug Description

Binary package hint: mayavi

Hi,

When I install mayavi under Feisty, the setup script reports:

Can't list /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/mayavi/
Can't list /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/mayavi/
Can't list /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/vtkPipeline/
Can't list /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/vtkPipeline/

although it does seem to complete the installation procedure.

I have python 2.4 and 2.5 installed on my machine.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 RC or later?
