Bug Description

in my bq aquaris 4.5 when I want to enter https pages with security, the browser do not let me type the credentials to enter those pages

Do you really mean https website (which doesn't necessarily require an authentication but are secured by a certificate) or website requiring http authentication?

Sounds to me like there is a confusion between encrypted connections (https) and basic authentication. The latter is tracked by bug #1422534, and a fix will be landing soon.

I have the same problem cited in bug #1422534 but with https pages.
On android system the explorer open a second window asking user and password. In ubuntu phone only appears: “error401”. I think the problem is because ubuntu does not let me to configure such windows.
