Bug Description
Everytime when unittests are run there have been concurrency issues where the sqlite database causes an error where the database is not under version control or locked. A number of issue crop up when running the unittests on different machines.
I think a first step to mitigate this issue is that unittests should not be testing the database queries but rather just the input and output data of the methods.
