ubuntu 14.04 LTS
2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy pkgname' or by checking in Software Center
nautilus 1:3.10.1-0ubuntu9.7
3) What you expected to happen
I created a new user named New User and opened the directory /home in Nautilus.
I told Nautilus to switch to List view and show Owner.
The owner of the directory newuser should display New User.
4) What happened instead
The owner of directory newuser is displayed as user # 1006.

Thank you for your bug report, do you still get that issue? How do you create the user? Does other tools (eg the command line 'ls') do give you the right information?
