Bug Description

Binary package hint: knetworkmanager

If you left-click on the system tray icon and select one of a list of available networks, the encryption option for WPA is not allowed, only WEP options.

If you select 'connect to other wireless network', the same pulldown gives you the options of WPA personal and enterprise IN ADDITION TO the WEP options.

The WPA options should be available in both places!

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 RC or later?

It seems that this is no longer an issue, although knetworkmanager 0.7 won't connect to a WPA/LEAP network *at all* for me anymore (see bug #259278).
