Bug Description

I am using compiz 0.9.12.2-1 as standalone window manager and emerald as decorator with kernel 4.1.6 on Geforce GTX 670 MX card (Asus GW75 laptop), drive 304.125, X11 1.17.2.

I have experienced quite many crashes, when resizing windows. I have seen posts around the webb about Compiz being crashoholic, and tips to switch applications switchers, turn off resize info plugin and so on. On my system I was able to isolate Compiz crashes to Resize window plugin and "normal" option default resize mode . Once resize option is changed to anything else, rectangle, outline or stretch, the compiz stays rock solid. I can use any switcher and resize info too (which I don't use coz I think it is meaningless) and compiz have no troubles at all. I have been using it now for a week without crash.

I am not sure what couses compiz to crash while resizing, can it be some opengl setting maybe, I haven't had time to play around. I have Compozite on, OpenGL on of curse, X11 sync objects is enabled, always use buffer swapping, frame- and vertexbuffer object and texture compression are all enabled.

I am able to reproduce this almost every time I enable resize mode to normal painting, albeit it can sometimes work for hours without crashing and sometimes it can crash almost immidiately. so I guess it can have something wth memory managment to do? Some pointer that go mad after some cleanup or something?
