Bug Description

When mounted as VirtualMedia using the ASUS iKVM over IPMI selecting Boot Finnix (64-bit) or Boot Finnix (64-bit, text mode) fails.

Finnix echos:

Waiting for devices to settle

all 3 tries and then reports:

Cannot find Finnix media. You're on your own.
Giving you a shell, hopefully you can mount the media to /tmp/cd_base.
If you can, exit the shell and startup will proceed as normal.
Starting debug shell.
Type "exit to continue.
ash: can't access tty; job control turned off

where no input is accepted.

selecting Boot Finnix (64-bit, debug mode)
no input is accepted.

Finnix 110 and 109 manage to find the media:

Finnix media found at sr0

and completes the boot successfully and input is accepted.

I get the same "Cannot find Finnix media." with Finnix 111 following the "ISO loopback boot (GRUB 2)" instructions here: http://www.finnix.org/Hard_drive_installation#ISO_loopback_boot_.28GRUB_2.29

Finnix 110 works as expected.

Different usage scenario to original description, but would appear to be related.

Sorry for the delay; I didn't realize bugs were being submitted here. Nonetheless, thank you for your report! For more details on recent developments, please see https://blog.finnix.org/2020/05/19/behind-the-scenes-of-finnix-120/ .

Sorry, I'm not able to verify, and Finnix 120 is a complete redesign from earlier versions. If this is still an issue with Finnix 120, would you mind re-checking and if so, filing the bug again at https://github.com/finnix/finnix/issues please? Thanks.
