Hi,
* Launch telegram, chat with a group or with someone alone
* text 3 messages "a", "b", "did you see some letter ?".
* Both of those 3 messages have the simple check icon (means message sent)
* if people are nice, they might anwser the truth: "a", "b" (let's pretends)
* They send "a and b"
* You know they read message with letters, but you still see only 1 check on those messages.
* sometimes a message (often the last one) got a double check (happening when your contact is typing when you send the message) but this is rare.
This bug was triggered something between the 1-8th august, and is still here with lastest OTA on stable channel with the Meizu MX4.
I even uninstalled the app and re-installed (but config were still there since I didn't needed to get a telegram code). This bug is present on all of my sent messages (group or 1contact).
When this bug started I was in a low connexion "public" WiFi, trying to read/send messages. I can't remember if it was just a bad WiFi, or if I forgot to launch the web browser to login/accept the term of use (that would have do some mess with telegram?).
If you cannot reproduce this bug / fix it, do I have a process to follow to erase all telegram config when unistalling/reinstalling it ?
Hi,
Thank you for detailed report. I believe I figured out from the report what you meant. That some messages are not correctly marked as read, although they should be. This may be fixed in the upcoming version.
In the mean time, if you choose to "reset" Telegram (no need to reinstall, it doesn't change anything), open the terminal app and run this: com.ubuntu. telegram
rm -rf .cache/
Note this will also wipe any secret chat history, which is unrecoverable.
