Bug Description

after upgrading from ubuntu 7.04 to ubuntu 7.10 my consoles are not accesibles. neither from gnome (by pressing Ctrl+Alt+F1-6) neither directly during the boot process ( if i disable usplash the screen blancks untill gdm is loaded)

I've got a notebook with nforce chipset, nvidia integrated graphic card. nvidia propretary driver 100.14.19 installed, kernel 2.6.20-15-lowlatency.

I've tried to install linux-image-2.6.22-12-generic but i can't get through the process of installing graphic drivers

If you remove 'quiet' from the kernel line (and readd the vga one) do you see kernel messages, or just nothing?
