Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubuntu-dev-tools

Hi,

submittodebian should really follow https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Debian/Usertagging , so that bugs filed this way are trackable.

The problem is that reportbug doesn't support adding pseudo-headers. It seems that the easiest solution would be to stop using reportbug (there isn't much point in using it anyway) and directly write and send the mail.

Ok, I went the non-intrusive path, and added pseudoheaders support to reportbug. See Debian bug #445144. I think that it would be a good idea to apply that patch in Ubuntu, then to modify submittodebian to add the tags, and to make it depend on the new reportbug.

What do you think ?

Here is a patch for submittodebian. I haven't tested it, since an updated reportbug is needed first. But you get the idea. I've set the release to "hardy": it's better than having to remember to set it to hardy later :P

Thanks for your patch!

I commited them to bzr and uploaded a new ubuntu-dev-tools 0.22 to hardy.

Cheers,
