Wily after log in wallpaper hashed

As of .iso daily live fresh install yesterday,

Boots to correct wallpaper.

Log in, screen flashes must be some kind of xorg reset, and then wallpaper hashed.

gsettings no longer works:

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.background picture-uri 'file:////home/jerry/Pictures/Shark_Island.jpg'

Doesn't do anything. Used to reset wallpaper.

Have to go to System Settings > Appearance > Wallpapers > Picture Folder select the jpg and it works. May have to do it a couple times.

Why is wallpaper just fine on boot, then after log in gets screwed up?

Finally a workaround was posted:

#sudo nano /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf

#Add the following lines
