Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1481580/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.

I see that on the Launchpad, this bug has been marked a Duplicate of LP1417608. (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ppc64-diag/+bug/1417608)

Confirm if rtas_errd daemon has been enabled as desired.

This bug is marked as a duplicate of Launchpad bug #1417608, yes. In that bug, the Ubuntu Security Team has asked for a number of changes to this software, so that it can be covered by Canonical's security support guarantee for packages installed by default. The last comment on that bug is from the Ubuntu Security Team, with no further followup from IBM. Have the requested changes been implemented upstream? Will IBM be providing backported patches against the versions of the packages in 14.04, so that these can be included in SRU?
