Bug Description

I'm on Dell XPS 13 2015 edition, since about two weeks, my second monitor connected via Mini Display Port doesn't work well ; ie the screen led report it as "on", the "Settings -> Display" tools detect it successfully, screen is extended, BUT screen stay black.

Sometimes, while I'm working (with the black screen on the second monitor), the second monitor woke up. I can use it, but after automatic "screen turn off" (while I'm away), the second screen doesn't woke up.

If I disconnect-reconnect, the mini display port, nothing happens, and Xorg.0.log doesn't detect something (this is why I've opened the bug on "linux-image-generic" and not on "Xorg").

I would be happy to find my second display working again, and help to fix the problem.
Please, let me know how I can help, report, test, etc...

Received a new cable. And I can confirm that was a hardware problem.
