Bug Description
1) The OS is Mint 17.2 32-bit Mate edition.
The notebook is Lenovo IdeaPad S205, 4Gb RAM.
There is AMD fglrx driver version 2:15.200-0ubuntu0.3 installed.
2) After upgrading kernel from 3.13.0-37-generic to 3.16.0-38-generic via "apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade" a critical bug appears: the notebook hangs on every wake-up after suspending.
3) Power, WiFi LEDs and CPU cooler turn on, but screen remains black, even backlight remains off. There is no sign of HDD activity also. The computer remains unusable. Holding of the power button switches the notebook power off and on but it remains the same dead state till I disconnect the power cable and remove the battery for about half a minute. Then it boots again.
Fortunately I kept previous 3.13.0-37-generic kernel. Now I'm booting there and the older kernel works well, including suspending and waking up.
4) I expect the notebook suspending works as it did with 3.13.0-37 and earlier kernels.
5) It happens always with 3.16.0-38 kernel.
