Everytime I update Ubuntu, there's an error message.

Ok. That looks reasonable, but the error message shown is:

grub-install: error: cannot copy `/usr/share/locale/ja.gmo' to `/boot/grub/locale/ja.mo': Is a directory.

Do you have a file /usr/share/locale/ja.gmo on your system? If so, do you know where it came from?

Yes, I have it. This file appeared when I tried to install a PSX emulator, specifically PCSX

Ok. You should remove the file in question from your system to work around this problem; that's not a normal location for a translation file anyway.

Can you verify exactly which package created /boot/grub/locale/ja.mo as a directory and confirm by reinstalling it?
