Bug Description
Its possible that it is a bug previously listed but I am only an amateur coder whereas Im sure sure most Ubuntu users are experienced ones.
Basically, the issue is that my software is incredibly out of date. I am on Ubuntu and 13.04 want to install Ubuntu 14.04.2. A long long time ago the relevant update from .04 to whatever the next version of failed. At the time I didnt really have time to look into it because of work commitments. I just dealt with it. So then each subsequent update became impossible to download. Hasnt been much of an issue because it still always worked fine. However, now its starting to be an issue because there are all sorts of features that are not supported anymore or simply dont work. Its also impossible to update to the newest version (which I assume would fix these issues).
Since simply updating to 14.04.2 directly wont work, my guess is I will have to go through and download each individual update there has been between my current version and the newest one. If so, could you please point me to a simple layout of the code to input? Or perhaps there is another issue at hand? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I can answer more questions if you need and am available via email (<email address hidden>). I can only imagine how difficult your job is going through and debugging customers' computers while they might have a meagre understanding of computer software. So I can not stress enough how thankful I am for you taking time to help. Thanks again!

You seem to have installed the cinnamon package on Ubuntu 13.10. Unfortunately, that package is not available yet for 14.04. To upgrade to Ubuntu 14.04 LTS you'll need to either wait for a fix for cinnamon to be available or uninstall the package and then upgrade.
