swip from left not working with case fitted MX4

I have both a bq and MX4 phone, the bq swipe function works fine when the phone is in a case.
In the case of the MX4 the screen is very close to the edge of the phone so with any case fitted, the left or right swip functions don't work very well. I cut down the case to improve the problem, but based on the fact that users of the ubuntu MX4 will purchase android MX4 cases, then this could be is a real problem. I would suggest adding the option to change the swipe point inboard of the edge or a longer inward distance to overcome this problem. My guess would be developers with free phones won't have cases fitted, new customers of the MX4 will fitted a case as the phone is £200. Also I don't think you can expect the case manufactures to change there designs to suit a small number of ubuntu phones.
Sorry I know this is not a bug, but it is a fundamental problem with the MX4.
