tapir mentioned a workaround in the forums (http://mixxx.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7340#p25197) if a problematic track is identified. Simply re-encoding it with 'flac -f' will allow to play it without a problem.

Is there another workaround to find out if other tracks in a library have a similar issue?
As this fix is aimed at 2.1, I wanted to know if there was a way to make sure there won't be a sudden interruption of playback during a performance, for previous versions (in particular for the upcoming 1.12).

The audio decoding backend of 1.12 has more serious issues than this, even for MP3 files that are perfectly ok. I don't think it's worth the effort to fix only some of them. Instead we should concentrate on delivering a rock solid solution for the next release, that hopefully can go into beta testing right after 1.12 has been released.

I'm not sure if it will be a 2.x version, maybe only a 1.13.

While waiting for 2.1 to be released, is there any way to scan through our Flac files and find the ones that might need to be re-encoded?
