Bug Description

Since https://code.launchpad.net/~canonical-platform-qa/autopilot/add_osk_show_workaround/+merge/264944 was uploaded, autopilot now depends on the executable /usr/bin/gsettings and on com.canonical.keyboard.maliit being present.

Neither of these are declared, and they both seem undesirable since they aren't required in general.

Concretely, this breaks shotwell's autopilot test which is automatically run on some archive uploads.

Could this be made opt-in, maybe? Like no-op if the schema isn't available or something. I don't know what the original motivation for the change was.

Also I suggest you use proper API to interact with gsettings (Gio via gobject-introspection) instead of this binary.
