Installed automatically on fedora 20 My three laserjet 400 series printers work well. My two photosmart d7260 color printers have a missing filter problem

Note: hp-check can be run in three modes:
1. Compile-time check mode (-c or --compile): Use this mode before compiling the
HPLIP supplied tarball (.tar.gz or .run) to determine if the proper dependencies
are installed to successfully compile HPLIP.
2. Run-time check mode (-r or --run): Use this mode to determine if a distro
supplied package (.deb, .rpm, etc) or an already built HPLIP supplied tarball
has the proper dependencies installed to successfully run.
3. Both compile- and run-time check mode (-b or --both) (Default): This mode
will check both of the above cases (both compile- and run-time dependencies).

Check types:
a. EXTERNALDEP - External Dependencies
b. GENERALDEP - General Dependencies (required both at compile and run time)
c. COMPILEDEP - Compile time Dependencies
d. [All are run-time checks]

Hi Jerry,

By default hpijs is installed in your system. Can you download the hplip-3.15.7.run file from here http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/gethplip.html and install it through command 'sh hplip-3.15.7.run'

The above device doesn't require plugin files . Just by installing hplip-3.15.7 from hplip-3.15.7.run should resolve the issue.

Thanks,
goutam

I did use hplip-3.15.7.run to install yesterday, but reran it 30 minutes
ago just to be sure. I am appending the screen output of the
reinstall. I am also appending a new hp-check output which I just ran.
The system still behaves the same way. The black and white laser
printers work fine, but the color photosmart printers do not.

Hi Jerry,

Thanks you for providing the log files. We are looking into this issue.
Till we find out the cause of this issue can you try out the manual installation instructions @http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/install/manual/distros/fedora_core.html .

Go to the source folder hplip-3.15.7 and run the below commands:

./configure --with-hpppddir=/usr/share/cups/model/HP --prefix=/usr --enable-qt4 --disable-libusb01_build --enable-doc-build --disable-cups-ppd-install --disable-foomatic-drv-install --disable-foomatic-ppd-install --disable-hpijs-install --disable-udev_sysfs_rules --disable-policykit --enable-cups-drv-install --enable-hpcups-install --enable-network-build --enable-dbus-build --enable-scan-build --enable-fax-build

make

su -c"make install"
