Bug Description

I have created a new application specifically for Ubuntu MATE. It is not suitable for Debian so I am requesting it is uploaded to Ubuntu directly.

Ubuntu MATE Welcome is simple application that users will see when they first login into Ubuntu MATE. It is designed to introduce them to the system, help get the orientated and complete some initial system updates and configuration.

  * A welcome screen for Ubuntu MATE that provides links to helpful resources and utilities.

Notes: lintian -iIE --pedantic --show-overrides --color auto <source.changes> has been used to ensure it is of suitable quality.

[needs-packaging] ubuntu-mate-welcome

The source for the packages are available from the following Bitbucket repository:

  * https://bitbucket.org/ubuntu-mate/ubuntu-mate-welcome/src

  git clone https://<email address hidden>/ubuntu-mate/ubuntu-mate-welcome.git
  cd ubuntu-mate-welcome

A tarball for the tagged release 1.0.0 is available here:

Thanks, Martin.
