Freya with 3.19 stack does not boot, overlayfs missing dir

Adding the Ubuntu proposed updates repo to congrego and generating an iso and trying to boot it causes the attached screenshot

Possibly this overlayfs error is just a red herring for failed ubiquity session due to

I managed to get around the gala related errors by hardcoding the installation of each controversial dependency in etc/auto/config.

I expected that to cause a more specific error about gala but it ended up just making things install properly.

What remains is figuring out how we transition over to overlayfs from aufs.

So I found the casper patch we needed to resolve the overlayfs problem. Now for some reason crucial packages are not being pulled into the iso, they are only recommended according to the congrego log.
