Hello,

MX4 overall performance is poor (compared to very well optimized BQ phones) especially frames per second, long time to run app.

and if you can, please provide the name(s) of the applications in your responses.
And for measured values, what exactly are you using to measure the fps ?

Did you check if anything is using up resources? On my MX4 I had a process eating up 50% CPU all the time until it got restarted (know bug that just got fixed).

That video is a month old. The overheating and battery issue was probably caused by a bug that's already fixed and the same bug would also explain the performance because there was a process busy in the background using up a lot of CPU as already mentioned. I had exactly the same issue with overheating etc. and that is gone.

I think that GPU is still not very well optimized, I see that FPS is quite low, little laggy. We've got super sharp high-end screen, but overall feeling is not high-end.

Just wanted to touch this bug to let you know this isn't being ignored.
We've had some engagement with our gpu partner to look into a variety of things. As you point out the devices in comparison have different screen sizes and gpu's which result in different budgets in terms of gfx bling.

there's been quite a bit of effort, everything from bug fixes to other general optimizations, one that's still in the pipeline is new buffer semantics which will allows up to drop one composition turn in a stacked compositor configuration e.g. unity8 compositor to unity-system-compositor to fb.
