This seems to be due to a profile for ppc missing from:
/usr/lib/2013.com.canonical.certification:checkbox/bin/virtualization
Sorry, I got the -machine type wrong. It should be 'pseries' as opposed to 'prep'. Linking in the new branch and submitting a new merge proposal.
