Resume not working on Compal IFL91 laptop

Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.22

Laptop not able to mount file system upon resuming.

Get some file system error messages but these not present in dmesg after forcing shutdown by removing battery.

Can access other terminals via Alt-F2 but not log in.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This particular bug probably has already been reported as bug 138348. Can you please take a look at the screenshots in that bug and report if you have the same error messages?
NB: that bug is on IFL91 as well

Yes that seems to be the exact same bug. Sorry I did not find it in my search.

Beginning with the Hardy Heron 8.04 development cycle, all open Ubuntu kernel bugs need to be reported against the "linux" kernel package. We are automatically migrating this bug to the new "linux" package. However, development has already began for the upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release.
