Bug Description
A while ago, I noticed that the directory file names were not updating quickly after removing files and I built a debian package that applied a patch I found in the bug list here. I've been using my geeqie 1.1-9 for a long time, but an Ubuntu update brought in the new 1.2 release.
A bad side effect is that when I scroll a large image up, the part of the image that was outside the desktop never draws correctly, it appears to be a blur of horizontal lines. I thought something must be wrong with my video driver after the Ubuntu update, but none of the other image viewers exhibit this problem.
So I removed geeqie 1.2 and re-installed the 1.1 version that I was using before, and the blur is completely solved.
I don't think I did anything to break this graphic setup. This is Ubuntu vivid, the version of x11 is 7.7, I have gtk2-2.24 and gtk3-3.0.2 installed from the standard repository.
Nobody else sees this "scroll distortion" problem?
I installed Ubuntu 16.10 and when all the new packages were installed, guess what? That distortion that causes very large images to be distorted when scrolling up is back.
I have installed every other image viewer I can find and none of them have this trouble, feh, gwenview, viewnoir, phototonic, and 6 or so other ones I'd never heard of before.
I don't seee everybody else afflicted with this problem, there are just a few of us. It is exactly as I described it originally, a large image that starts "off the bottom of the screen" never clears up when I scroll up.
Problem is same if I use the Nvidia or Intel graphic devices.
