In Vivid Vervet, onscreen keyboard won't input to password/user fields

Onboard keyboard works fine in desktop environments, but will not pass input to user/password slots at login/resume screen.

Clicking with a mouse OR tapping on a touchscreen does not work. Subsequently, when using a regular keyboard, after trying with onscreen keyboard, you must click into the password field again before input from regular keyboard is accepted.

Suspect that focus is not being properly returned/shifted to the text input field by the keyboard, and the field itself is losing programmatic focus.

It's the bug in lightdm-gtk-greeter and it was fixed in 2.0.1. Use this PPA to get update for 15.04:

I am marking this bug as invalid as it has been fixed and as the problem depended on another package. Don't hesitate to open a new bug if you have other issues with Onboard.

I'm not sure how Launchpad handles invalid bugs, and I'd like for the solution to be available for anyone else having the problem.

Would it be proper to convert it from a bug to a question?

AFAIK, invalid bugs are not searched by default, but it is possible to also search for them by doing an advanced search. That said, converting the bug into a question seems to be a good idea. Please, go ahead if you have time.

Bug is with a different module (the greeter) but I'd like for the solution to stay available so that others with the problem can easily locate the solution.
