Can't connect to local GSM networks after Airplane mode

While travelling, after switching off the Airplane mode, r23 is searching local GSM networks for a long time, but when the list of local providers is finally created, the phone can't connect neither automatically nor manually to any of those networks. The only way to get connected to the local GSM providers is to restart the phone. If that is done, the connection is made automatically and rather fast.

Thanks for the bug, is this for any connection or just data, if the latter it sounds like bug #1445080 which just got a fix.

Yes, it is for all GSM networks. And you are right - this bug was already mentioned, and the fix was released. I noticed it just today. Should we close this bug?

If this bug just pertains to data connections then yes we should close it as a dupe of the other
