Bug Description

BQ Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntutouch 14.10 (r23)

My device runs around 4 days, the battery stats step down from 100% to around 30% in this period. Then the device step into a hard shutdown, there is no kind of warning and this happens around 30% and not below 10%.

In conclusion the battery monitor seems to be wrong aligned and there is no system of warning when the battery is nearly empty.

Got system upgrade to 15.04 (r23).

No change of behaviour, 30% is last battery response after around 4 days, then the phone switches off hard without any warning. Cannot be booted again until it got power from the charger, at 10% it can be booted again.

The gap between sudden death at 30% and first reboot on the charger at 10% is the bug. It should count to nearby 0 and place a warning at 10%.

The mobile show up a battery low warning, but only when the screen is turned on. So again it can silently die off within short time, why is there no special blinking red led signal, showing the battery low without turning the screen on?

The mobile hard shutdown around 50% battery now, a warning is only visible at unlock. So sudden death exist on and is main reason for an unusable device. Because who will put it on a charger if there is more than 50% energy left.

State unusable
