Bug Description

The problem is most obvious after you stop typing for a few minutes. I have 15.10 alpha. The problem does not appear on 15.04 or 14.04 LTS, only under 15.10. This is running on the raw hardware, not in a virtual machine.

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.1 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

Running Ubuntu mainline kernel 4.1.0-040100 fixed it. Admins please feel free to close the ticket, and thank you to Joseph Salisbury for the help.

Michael Swierczek, just to advise, the mainline kernel is not supported as per https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/MainlineBuilds .

Hence, the next step is to fully reverse commit bisect from kernel 3.19 to 4.1 in order to identify the last bad commit, followed immediately by the first good one. Once this commit has been identified, then it may be reviewed as a candidate for backporting into your release. Could you please do this following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/KernelBisection#How_do_I_reverse_bisect_the_upstream_kernel.3F ?

Please note, finding adjacent kernel versions is not fully commit bisecting.

Thank you for your understanding.

I started the reverse bisect, but the default 3.19.0-22.22 kernel worked without errors. I am baffled as to what happened and why I was seeing the error 10 days ago and am not seeing it now. I have not changed my hardware in any way, and my USB keyboard uses a physical connection and not bluetooth.

I apologize, Joseph Salisbury and Christopher M. Penalver, for taking up some of your time. Thank you for your help.
