Bug Description

I'm not sure this belongs here as it is more about notifications in general (so probably something that should be implemented upstream) and not only the indicator: Notifications in elementary should provide IFTTT integration.

An if-integration (making the system the source of information) would allow the user to pass on all / certain notifications to other services or display them on their phone. then-integration (making the system the receiver of information) would make it possible to have notifications from all kinds of services easily integrated into the system without having to write individual plugins.

Edit: An alternative to IFTTT is Zapier which seems to be more open to new channels but is rather targeted towards SMEs. Direct integration of Pushbullet, a service / app often used in conjunction with the two to have notifications in sync between different devices might also be an option.

This kind of functionality would need be implemented first in gala. This indicator is only catching the notifications from DBus Notification server.

I don't think this should be build in gala since it can be added by any app that is listening to the ifttt or whatever api and can send notifications or the other way around.

Changed in wingpanel-indicator-notifications:
status: New → Invalid
Changed in gala:
importance: Undecided → Wishlist
