Bug Description

One of common requirements for OpenStack deployment is to be able to run VMs using overlay networks. Overlay networks (GRE for example) add few bytes on top of existing MTU. Currently, there is no way to specify MTU on nodes managed by MAAS. DHCP running on MAAS can be used to specify MTU, and static addresses would have to be adjusted too. This should be within cluster interface configuration.

Indeed switch would need to support Jumbo Frames, but this is a hard requirement for these deployments anyway.
