Bug Description
One of the main reasons I switched from Nautilus to Nemo on my ubuntu machine is that I really like being able to instantly see how much free disk space I've got left (I'm forever running out of space). Nautilus used to display this information in a 'status bar' at the bottom of the screen, but first made it optional and then got rid of it completely (lots of people want it back, see e.g. https:/
I've recently been trying out Elementary OS (and have installed it on my Dad's netbook - his only pc) and mostly I really like it. It does, however, rather frustrate me (and him) that free disk space is not displayed anywhere (as far as I can tell the only way to find it out - without using the terminal - is to right-click on a file and choose properties).
Please add something like the (Old) Nautilus and Nemo Status Bar to Pantheon Files.
Many thanks,
Josef.
PS I realise this isn't a bug but someone here https:/

Mounted volumes have a graphic showing the proportion of disk-space used but this does not happen for "File System". All devices now have a "Properties" option on the context menu which gives the actual amount of free space.
Another possibility would be to add this to the tooltip.
There are no plans to add a status bar to Files, showing this information continuously.
