Bug Description

I'm trying to install 7.10 beta in my Acer 7520 laptop.

I choose to install in safe graphics mode. It doesn't seem to recognize the graphics card correctly, since I only get a 800X640 resolution. That's not the problem, if I could install it, then later I would adjust the screen resolution (after downloading the latest nvidia drivers, etc.).

The problem is that when I choose "Install", the dialogue windows are larger than the desktop area, so that the "Continue" and "Cancel" buttons are not visible. Naturally, I try to shrink the window, but it doesn't seem possible (I can make it larger).

Any help will be GREATLY appreciated.

I have the same problems.

A workaround is to alt+left-mouse-click to drag the window around.

This is probably a problem in the X config. But since it is on the live cd... I catagrised this under bootcd

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 RC or later?

Changed in bootcd:
