Bug Description

EG 2.7.4

On attempting to group formats and editions in search returns generated through browse search, a "not found" message is generated.

To duplicate the described behavior, do a browse search for a popular author.
example: author patterson, james in the C/W MARS catalog
http://bark.cwmars.org/eg/opac/browse?blimit=25&qtype=author&bterm=patterson%2C+james&locg=1

Locate a result having many entries after it: example: Patterson, James (31) and click on that.

In the search returns list that appears, check the checkbox Group Formats and Editions.

The message
Sorry, no entries were found for ""
will appear.

2.12-beta -- confirmed that behavior is still occurring, however the message given is "please enter a term in the search box".

Until we can add the ability to group or sort browse search results, I'm wondering if a partial, temporary solution might be to disable those options (or maybe remove that entire gray bar?) when those search results are the result of a browse search.

Adding that checking the "Limit to Available Items" box is problematic too. The Show More/Fewer Details button still works.

Maybe leave the gray bar in place, but hide everything except for Another Search, Advanced Search, and Show More/Fewer Details?

On 3.2 both "Limit to Available" and "Group Formats and Editions" are still problematic in browse search.

However, I'm seeing them misbehave in different ways.

Selecting "Group Formats and Editions" while in the results list will give the erroneous "Sorry, no entries were found for your search" message.

Selecting "Limit to Available" while in the results list will actually broaden the search -- in a Concerto-based test system, my search results list went from 11 records (Browse on Author = Brahms) to 245 records, which is most of the Concerto bib set.

Not sure if these are related or if the latter should be spun off to its own bug.

Noting that these issues still occur in 3.8 Bootstrap OPAC
