Bug Description
The API should allow the user to specify what attributes of a resource should be returned. A full representation of a resource sometimes is too heavy (specially when config driver is used without Swift), specially for an API like Ironic where many actions happens asynchronously and require polling to know what is the state of the request.
The Nova Ironic driver would also greatly benefit from it since it does a lot of polling in the Ironic API to check for the provision state when a node is being deployed, deleted, rebuilt, and so on...
