Bug Description
I run Ubuntu 14.04 and xfce4.
I have two partitions mounted via USB. Every time when I wake up the computer from suspension, two Thunar windows pop up, it is quite annoying as I suspend/wake the computer quite often (5-10 times) during the day.
I googled, and some people suggested changing the automount-open setting in
org -> gnome -> desktop -> media-handling
using dconf-editor. I unchecked the automount-open option, but nothing was changed. two windows pop up as before.
At work, I have an external drive mounted to my computer via eSATA, it does not have this annoying issue, and the drive is used just like an internal drive.
What setting do I need in order to make USB drive behave like an eSATA drive? in other words, do automount, but not opening in a file browser.
no longer affects: | ubuntu-gnome |
that setting will only affect GNOME and Unity DE's.
XFCE will have its own handling (and settings) for handling removable media.
