Bug Description
Hello Mint Fellows
in Mint 17.1
The cause of the problem is unknown to me....
My desktop behave awkwardly.....Some icons are presented as "selected" (greyish)....and impossible to de-select. Same for some other...not selected. All this for some icons but not all.
The pointer with left click maintained do not change the location of these icons (stucked in place) but instead works as if I wanted to select a set of icons (a rectangle is produced as in the selection mode of the pointer)....but only for these few icons.
If in the menu I choose rearrange icons by names.....all icons are duplicated. A reset or a restart do not clear all that. The same state of the desktop persists

I think this came after one of the last updates. Strange behaviour.....
Some icons of files seems to be behaving in different ways than other...like having different attributes
When trying to rearrange by names a second time.....icons still doubled, but not doubled again...new doubled icons are stacked on original ones
Very serious problem from my point of view as it affects the front interface
