edit failure for recent demographic customisations

Hi,
we have made a lot of demographic customisations and now have 30 odd per student. The last two of which do show on the

STUDENT NAME
General information drop down box, but they do not open for editing.

I have tried a work around to re-order them, putting them at the top of the list but even so, at the top of the list they do not open for editing.
Maybe a workaround is export , edit and then import, but that's a big workaround.
Any ideas for us?

they dont even show...?
How can we edit them.. ?

They were the most recent addition.
I since reordered them to bring them up in the list.
