Bug Description

Hi.

I just upgraded from a fairly un-modified Feisty install (installed about a month ago) to a Gutsy pre-beta iso (downloaded on 26 Sep) and it failed to configure X for my built in nVidia 7400 Go. With manual (GUI) configuration nv works ok but the proprietary driver doesn't.

Type ID:pcie:104D:81EF
Parent ID:/pci0000:00/0000:00:01.0
Port:PCI Express Slot 0
Bus:pcie

Any help?

does not work either as long as I use nvidia-glx-new. This driver version used to work before in gutsy and in feisy!

Everything somewhat works with normal nvida-glx. However, displayconfig-gtk does not detect the right frequencies as well or refuses to take over the settings I choose. The whole thing is at least alpha. Should not have been release that quick. But of course, gutsy is a dev release.

The best thing about bulletprove X is that it makes it totally impossible to debug X problems! As all you can look at it the failsaveX xorg.0.log file instead of the one for your actual config!

This should be fixed as of Gutsy final. Can you please test it, and if it does not resolve the issue, please attach your Xorg.0.log, xorg.conf, and the output from lsbpi -vvnn.
