firefox unresponsive when saving to usb pen drive

When saving files from firefox to a USB pen drive, both firefox and the download
manager are unresponsive and their canvases do not refresh until the download is
completed. This does not happen when downloading to a regular drive.

Mozilla Forefox 1.0.2
Kingston DataTraveller II USB pen drive
Hoary Latest (2005/03/25)
Cable modem connection

Does the USB work for other applications? (Firefox has no knowledge of what
you're writing to, so this sounds more like a kernel bug)

firefox 1.0.7-0ubuntu20

I can not reproduce this bug. Saving to USB pen drives works normally for me.
Can you still reproduce the error?

I have upgraded to breezy and the problem appears to be resolved.
