Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz-kde

I just noticed that German Umlauts are not displayed correctly in the window title bar when using compiz-kde (kde-window-decorator). The Umlaut is replaced by two square symbols. With emerald or with kwin the same title is displayed correctly in the title bar. I will attach a screenshot which displays this behaviour.

Please note wrong Umlaut in the title bar. In the task bar the title is displayed with a correct umlaut.

The problem is the same with Hungarian accented letters (éáűúőöüó). Some characters are replaced by a question mark.
I tried to change the font of the title bar, but that didn't help either. This bug appeared just a few days/week ago...

Well, that looks like a regression since Feisty with Trevino's repository.
Maybe it should be possible to find out what commit caused that regression.

Seems to be fixed with version 1:0.6.0+git20071002-0ubuntu1

At least my German Umlauts are displayed correctly with this version now.
