Bug Description
Hello,
It should be usefull to be able to select which deep sky objects catalog is displayed on the screen. That would be another tab in the View panel, in which you could tick/untick the catalogs such as :
Messier
NGC
LBN
LDN
Sharpless
...
Then only the objects from a ticked catalog would be displayed on screen when the Deep Sky Objects [D] button is activated.
An option would be also to avoid overlaping objects, within a circle of some pixels for example. Each catalog would be treated as a layer, the highest one in the list would be shown first. The user will be able to order the list.

Does this mean Fred's suggestion is a go, the option posted to remove objects in the interim is not really satisfactory. The suggestion to filter catalogues makes a whole lot of sense, especially when demonstrating using Stellarium.
