Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

In Gutsy, with Desktop effects enabled:
- Evolution doesn't enter fullscreen when pushing F11
- Epiphany hides the address bar and shows the bottom panel (the bottom panel kind of pushes the browser window over the top edge)

Hi Runar
I'm using Gutsy with all packages up to date and couldn't reproduce the epiphany behaviour you mention, about evolution, i couldn't find a menu option to go to full screen, and without "desktop effects" activated don't go to fullscreen either, so i guess this feature doen's exist in Evolution.
which version of compiz, ubuntu, evolution, epiphany, etcs are you using?

Thanks for the response. You're right about the missing option in the menus. Why wouldn't Evolution have a fullscreen mode?

Versions:
 - Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon
 - compiz 1:0.5.2+git20070918-0ubuntu5
 - evolution 2.12.0-0ubuntu1
 - epiphany 0.5.1-4

Could you please attach a screenshot to demonstrate the issue, since i couldn't reproduce it, just for epiphany. it would be of great help if you could try to reproduce this bug with a newly created user, on your machine, just to check this isn't fault of some leftover from a previous version/configuration.

About the evolution ability to go into Full Screen mode, personally don't see much gain on that, but if you think it would be a nice and/or useful feature, you are welcome to request it, preferably upstream, but if you don't have a bugzilla account, you can post the request here, and someone with a bugzilla account can forward it upstream.

by the way, my packages versions are:

I filed the Evolution bug upstream, they considered it a wontfix - since they don't bother coding it. Pathces were welcome, though. ;)
