This only started happening in 15.04, and it only seems to happen when I use the video player's native fullscreen option (I sometimes use Flash Game Maximizer if I'm hooked up to a dual monitor setup, and this problem doesn't happen then).
Basically, I'm unable to make videos fullscreen because once I do, the video slows, then stutters, then completely freezes (but the audio continues unimpaired). I have to hit ESC many times to exit out because everything else-- mouse, keyboard, etc. -- is unresponsive for about half a minute.
