Mixer not showing on first launch?

I've seen a couple references that mention that the mixer is not visible on first launch. This would be incorrect!

confirmed here on windows seven ultimate edition SP1 x64 with mixxx-1.12.0-beta1-1.12-git5421-release-x64.exe as well as mixxx-1.12.0-beta1-1.12-git5418-release-x64.exe

Shouldn't also Mixxx start as a maximized window ?
Here you can see that Mixxx's window in outside of the screen on the right.

Yikes, that's not the right startup state at all. Luckily I can reproduce the problem

For now I've reverted the bad commit, here's a windows build with the fix:

Ok, now mixer is shown on first launch with r5426 and sampler, effects and microphone are hidden.
